Welcome to the Guernsey Police
The Force provides policing services throughout the Bailiwick; with officers permanently based on the islands of Guernsey and Alderney.
With an average population of 64,000 and a comparatively low crime rate, the Force strives to maintain security and protect the community from harm by working in partnership with both statutory and voluntary organisations.
By proactively preventing and detecting crime and disorder, the Force aims to reduce the negative impact on the quality of life of Bailiwick residents and visitors alike, as well as maintaining the island's international reputation as a financial centre.
In the words of Chief Officer Patrick Rice, "Guernsey Police strives to provide Premier policing for Premier Islands".
