Welcome to the Guernsey Police

Guernsey’s Island Police has responsibility for providing policing services throughout the Bailiwick of Guernsey and has Officers stationed in Guernsey where its Headquarters is situated and on the Island of Alderney. The Force plays a supporting role in law enforcement on the Island of Sark.

Delivering a quality service and safeguarding the community are corner stones of our policing ethos. To achieve this we cannot work alone and the Force prides its close working relationship with the community and the many support agencies that flourish within it.

We have established meaningful partnerships with a number of these public bodies and voluntary organisations.

Guernsey is a low crime area with an enviable quality of life. The Island Police do not underestimate the part that they have to play in maintaining this and continually strive to improve and meet the challenges of a local responsibility together with national and international commitments.
