Media statement on 15th July

Two specialist dogs have completed their search of the Pleinmont headland but found no trace of Steven Corbet.

The 58-year-old has now been missing for nearly three weeks. He was last seen getting off the number 94 bus at Pleinmont at 12.04pm on Monday 27th June 2016.

The dogs, known as victim recovery dogs, spent four days searching the Pleinmont headland.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank members of the public for giving the dogs and their handlers the necessary space to conduct their search. We would also wish to thank Kent Police and the Met Police, respectively, for sending over the dogs and their handlers to support the investigation.

We are continuing to explore all available lines of enquiry and anticipate being able to provide a further update early next week.
