Media statement on 5th July

Guernsey Police is appealing for all passengers who were on the number 94 bus at the same time as Steven Corbet to make contact with the Major Incident Room.

So far, one person who was on the bus with Steven has got in touch, but we know there were more and we would really like to speak with them. They may feel that they don't have any relevant information to tell us, and that's why they haven't come forward so far, but sometimes detail that an individual believes is irrelevant could actually be a key piece of the puzzle.

Steven caught the number 94 bus from the Town Terminus and alighted at Portelet at 12.04pm on Monday 27th June - that was the last known sighting of Steven.

Anyone who was on that bus is urged to contact the Major Incident Room on 719474.

Specialist search officers have today continued their search of the Pleinmont headland. They have found no trace of Steven to date.

An information point has been staffed in Pleinmont Car Park since last Wednesday [29th June]. The number of people engaging with it has diminished so a decision has been taken to redeploy officers staffing it elsewhere, but retain the physical information point in support of search officers.

We would again ask anyone who believes they might have relevant information relating to this investigation to contact the Incident Room. We would also please urge property owners in the Pleinmont area to check any buildings or secluded areas on their land.
