Supplementary statement from the Committee for Health and Social Care Chief Nurse, Professor Juliet Beal
'If any pregnant woman on the island is concerned about their own personal circumstances and would like some guidance and reassurance, I would ask them not to hesitate to get in contact with the team on Loveridge Ward.
'In addition to the support islanders can receive from staff at Loveridge Ward, a dedicated support line has been set up (tel 01481 707490) and will be available each working day between 10 am and 12 noon staffed by a midwife for any expectant mother or member of their family to discuss any issues of concern they may have.'
